Fail better
It happened to attend yesterday Nikos Navridis's solo exhibition which was set in the old oil mill of Elefsina.
I'm not an art critic neither a curator, so I don't have words to describe the meaning of what I saw yesterday.
What I' d like to share with you, is two sentences that describe my feelings.. I was awed. I was touched.

I quote bellow the artist's words & an excerpt of Samuel Beckett's prose piece, Worstward Ho, which is part of the exhibition!
"Try again. Fail again. Fail Better.
A work, a perceptive and sensorial passage, which takes as starting point the past and questions in what way it predetermines the present.
Because Eleusis has been a place which was always hiding something threatening, since it’s visitors were asking to transcend the human measure, the human destiny. A ‘’Common Locus’’ filled by expectations and visions.
For this, it was completely filled by breaths, namely completely empty.
Yet, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but from the moments that take our breath away.

First the body. No. First the place. No. First both. Now either. Now the other. Sick of the either try the other. Sick of it back sick of the either. So on. Somehow on. Till sick of both. Throw up and go. Where neither. Till sick of there. Throw up and back. The body again. Where none. The place again. Where none. Try again. Fail again. Better again. Or better worse. Fail worse again. Still worse again. Till sick for good. Throw up for good. Go for good. Where neither for good. Good and all.
